Evans Tuning slashes tuning prices for new customers!

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

In an attempt to help out our customers in rough economic times, we are drastically reducing tuning prices for the winter months. Anyone who books an apppointment between January 5th to February 28th, will receive discounted tuning prices. The tuning appointment MUST be scheduled within these dates. You CANNOT call/email during this time and schedule a tuning appointment for sometime after February 28th and still receive the discounted tuning rates. These appointments will be on a first come, first served basis.  There are NO discounted rates on retunes, please do not ask.  Also, if a tuning appointment is made during our discounted tuning rate period and you cannot make it to the appointment and reschedule for a date AFTER Fed 28th the full tuning rate will apply!  No exceptions!  We expect appointments will fill up very quickly, so dont wait to contact us for your appointment! Absolutely NO exceptions will be made for appointments after February 28th! If you want to guarantee yourself these rates contact us immediately at 610.588.1889 (M-F 1-5 pm) or apppointments@evans-tuning.com.

Labor Rates page updated.

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Today I finally got around to fixing up the Labor Rates page. It is now a clean listing of the different services we offer at the shop on the day of your tuning appointment. Just another step closer to having the easiest website to navigate and get information from.

Please be aware that some of these services as stated in the notes section of the page cannot be performed on the day of your appointment unless we are notified ahead of time.

Hopefully this breakdown of our rates help answer some of the questions I have been getting at the office in regards to our costs. Let me know what you think!

s100, NepTune, and Comparison Reviews are up!

Monday, October 6th, 2008

Its Monday, and after an extremely busy day on the phone at the office and working on the site I have finally managed to get the s100 and NepTune reviews on our site. This is a continuation of the process of the reviews which are all hopefully going to be on the site in the next few weeks. You can find these reviews during step 3 of our etTuning section.

Here are some shorts from the over all impressions.

s100:

“The Hondata s100 is the cheapest option for tuning your car with the Hondata product line-up (B/D/H series engines). It is not end-user adjustable, and authorized Hondata dealers/tuners are the only…”

NepTune:

“Evans Tuning has been tuning NepTune longer than any other dealer/tuner. We have successfully tuned over 200+ cars with the software…”

Be sure to check out the Hondata, and NepTune pages for the newly added review section on the comparisons between s300 and NepTune. These are the first 2 comparisons with more coming in the future such as the difference between KPro and AEM for K-series setups. Give me your feedback!

KPro and AEM Reviews are up.

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

Early on yesterday I posted up the new etTuning section and promised reviews would continue to come adding to the one that was already up for the Hondata s300 system. Since we have posted 2 more reviews which list Pro’s, Con’s, and our Overall Impression of the system.

The first being for Hondata KPro. A small excerpt:

“…It is hands down the best tuning solution for any K-series street car, as well as most race cars! The software is comprehensive, straight forward, and easy to use…”

The second being for AEM EMS. A small excerpt:

“…The system got a bad rap at first from having a lot “bugs” in the older versions of the software, but has done a complete 180-degree turn in quality and reliability. AEM EMS is Evans Tuning’s top pick for standalone engine management systems…”

I hope you get a chance to check out the new reviews and I hope they help in making your decision when thinking about which engine management system is right for you. Let me know your thoughts.

Revised Pre-Tuning Checklist Coming Soon

Monday, September 29th, 2008

If you have been to a our Pre-Tuning Checklist, you know that its a pretty hefty list of things to check over. In our effort to clean up the site and make it easier to schedule a tuning appointment, we have noticed that the tuning checklist(s) are somewhat difficult to get through in one session. So in the coming week I will be starting a clean-up of the Evans Tuning Pre-Tuning Checklist.

It should be noted that everything on the list not only needs to be checked but it is all actually very important. This is the main reason for cleaning it up. Seeing as how going over the checklist is one of the biggest steps to ensuring a successful tuning appointment, it should be a relatively painless process.

Jeff, Andrea, and I have been critiquing every portion of the site trying to get it down to the bare essentials where needed and add the critical information where its missing. If you have seen something lately that just doesn’t sit right, please leave a comment and let us know. Otherwise, I will keep you posted on the updates as I start rolling them out in a few days (if all goes well).

Welcome to the Evans Tuning Blog.

Friday, September 19th, 2008

Thanks for stopping to have a look at our first post here. I wanted to start with somewhat of an informational approach to cover the last few developments I have made on the site. We have had an initiative around the office to make this site easier to navigate and to make information more readily available to you our users. So on to whats happening…

Evans Tuning forum:

If you haven’t checked out the newly redesigned Forum I really suggest having a look at it, its a great source of information and now it looks better than ever.  There is a link to it in the links section of this blog, you can click on it here and as always its the third link down on our main navigation menu.

Tuning Page:

A ‘Tuning’ page was recently added and is getting a fresh new look in a few days, which I will update you on. Our intent is to provide you with just a few simple steps to understanding what is involved in a tuning appointment and how to be ready when you call the office to schedule it.

Get your Engine built by Evans Tuning:

Our latest update is our new engines page. We are offering 3 awesome packages to have your engine built at what we think, and hope you agree are some of the best prices in the industry. There were such huge responses to our engine build tech video we have decided it best to offer these services.

I hope you all subscribe and find this blog useful, I will continue to post here, and hopefully Jeff and Andrea will join me in doing so.  Write some encouraging comments to get them posting!
