We get emails almost daily about what gauges are the most important, and what brand we suggest. Hands down the most important gauges are oil pressure, wideband air/fuel, and fuel pressure in that order. We have been working with the AEM digital gauges for the last few months and absolutely love them! They are everything you could want in a gauge; super accurate, have a digital read out, and have a 0-5 volt datalogging output on each gauge. The datalogging output is the best feature of these gauges. It allows you to input the 0-5 volt output to your AEM EMS or Hondata s300 and datalog any of the parameters!

Some background.
Over the past year we have seen steady advances in the Hondata s300 system (see our “Why choose Hondata s300” post). These advances have brought the software out of the the contest between it and many others as the leading Honda Tuning software. Due to the wide acceptance of the Hondata s300 system, and the broad range of needs it fulfills we have decided it best to discontinue support for the NepTune and NepTune RTP tuning systems and focus solely on providing Hondata s300 as our “stock ECU” option for engine management. We will also continue tuning other systems for Honda’s such as AEM, PowerFC, etc (discounts will apply on tuning for these systems for customers upgrading from NepTune when system is also purchased through Evans Tuning).
What is changing?
- Support for NepTune will be discontinued immediately. We are no longer providing tech support for the NepTune Tuning system.
- We are no longer booking new appointments or retune appointments for NepTune.

Each spring comes a huge rush for people wanting to get their cars tuned. We anticipate this each spring and tell everyone to book your appointment as early as possible because we fill up very quickly. This year is no exception. We are currently booking in the beginning of April for tuning appointments. We are booking extremely quick! Within the next week we could have the month of April booked! Buyer Beware – Knock off Injector Dynamics/Bosch 1000ccs on the Market!

By now you have probably heard about the latest and greatest Injector Dynamics/Bosch saturated 1000cc injector to hit the market. They run better than anything else out there, and have since become one of our best selling items lately! The supply and demand factor is playing a huge role right now with our inventory. We only have a few more B-Series, K-Series and s2000 Injector Dynamics 1000cc/min left in stock, once they are sold we are not going to be able to have them in inventory until the end of March!! Having been tuning cars for 9 years now (5 of those years professionally), I have tuned many different engine management systems and worked with a huge variety of cars from Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Ford, Chevy, Dodge, VW, etc. The one thing that seems to make or break a set-up is the engine management system that you use. It has been common practice in the Honda community as a whole to get tuned with an engine management system that is the cheapest solution. While I can appreciate building a car on a budget and saving money, engine management is something that spending a little bit more can go a long way. Our cheapest solution for tuning a Honda is NepTune. While NepTune offers many of the features other engine management systems offer, it lacks on board datalogging, clear and well defined datalogs, and the ability for you as the end-user to make any changes. Although to most this seems trivial in comparison to the price difference between being tuned with NepTune (600.00) and Hondata S300 (1025.00 including system and installation into your virgin ecu), that difference is what will make or break your set-up.
