eTuning Section Added To Our Site
Jun 16th
Since we have started eTuning it has become very popular with a lot of our FlashPro and KPro customers. We’ve taken the time to add a new eTuning section to our web site under the current Tuning section (which now is broken down into sections for both Dyno Tuning and eTuning).
We’re excited to have this new section added to our site, and we hope it answers many of the questions we have received so far. The eTuning section will also stay updated as we add more cars that are able to be eTuned. Here are a list of the new pages:
Why Get an eTune from Evans Tuning?
Apr 16th
It has come to our attention that numerous other sites are offering eTuning services. Evans Tuning is certainly not the first provider of these services but we feel we have a significant advantage compared to other providers. Here is why you should eTune with Evans Tuning.
- We offer UNLIMITED ADJUSTMENTS to your eTune. Other providers limit the amount of revisions they will do.
- We provide ONE LEVEL of unmatched eTuning! No basic tunes here. We give it our all, all of the time.
- We have a VERY LARGE DATABASE of perfected dyno tunes. Most eTuners state that they have little to no dyno tuning experience. We tune all day every day.
- We provideĀ UNMATCHED CUSTOMER SERVICE via email. Most revisions are provided within a few hours and normally no more than 1 business day.
- We have the option for customers to UPGRADE TO A DYNO TUNE for the price of a retune. We stand behind our work and know it’s worthy of our discounted rates.
- We have over 10 YEARS of tuning experience. Tuning is the most important step of any build and we take each tune very seriously.
We are all for the shift to internet based business, tuning, and customer service, but can you afford to trust your tune to just any internet company?
eTune vs Dyno Tune
Jan 26th
Anyone that has been running KPro or FlashPro is probably familiar with “eTuning”, or tuning done through email. If you are not familiar with the concept it is pretty simple. You give an “eTuner” your list of mods, he generates a basemap and emails it to you. You take datalogs during idle, partial throttle driving, and full throttle driving and email those datalogs to the tuner. Adjustments are made to the map and emailed between the customer and the tuner until the set-up is optimized.
Since we have decided to start eTuning, I decided that a write-up was needed to clarify when an eTune or Dyno Tune is needed and the pros/cons of eTuning.

eTuning is slowly catching on as a new trend in the EFI tuning world. We’ve been working hard to implement eTuning that is competitively priced while continuing to offer the advantage of a full Dyno Tuning service that many of our customers still prefer. Our solution, allow customers to upgrade from our eTuning services to a full Dyno Tune without paying the full tuning rate. Currently, eTuners do not offer this option as most of them do not own and operate a dyno on a daily basis. At Evans Tuning, we have our customers covered and are now able to provide our tuning services globally to customers who wish to be tuned by us and are not local to our shop.
The Pricing Breakdown:
- eTune Flat Rate – $200
- eTune with purchase of tuning system – $150
- eTune Retune – $100
- Upgrade from eTune to Dyno Tune – $150/hr
Which systems will Evans Tuning be willing to eTune?
As of the time of this posting we are currently offering eTuning for ONLY Hondata FlashPro and Hondata KPro. FlashPro and KPro are the only systems we will support eTuning on at the moment. The factory wideband sensor, accurate knock sensors and excellent datalogging that both FlashPro and KPro system offer make eTuning possible. Other systems such as Hondata s300, A’PEXi Power FC, AEM EMS, etc. are systems that we prefer to tune in house because of a huge range of car, sensor and wiring conditions.
