Garrett GTX Turbos

Garrett has just released their new line of GTX (also called GTX-R) turbos that are a drop in replacement for the current 3071R and larger sized turbos!

The new GTX line up boasts 10-15% increased compressor efficiency which results in huge power gains. The key to the GTX compressor wheel is the increased efficiency without increased size (inducer/exducer) in a billet material configuration, so the turbo is able to move more airflow (CFM) and retain the same spool characteristics as the same size GT equivalent turbo. The new GTX 3071R is now able to offer 50-60 hp more from the same size turbo, with no other changes being made! The larger GTX turbos such as the GTX4202 can offer an additional 200hp+ in gains with no loss of spool!

While there are other companies offering billet compressor turbos, they are far from reliable. Get the same high quality and reliability you expect from the Garrett GT line-up, but with more power. We are offering the GTX line up in a wide array of turbine housing options, and even have a 72mm specific drag race “special” GTX turbo that is able to support 1200whp+.

I have noticed a trend in the past year or two that has really been bothering me. With the growth of the sport compact scene and cars getting faster and faster on the street and at the drag strip, the bigger is better attitude has certainly taken over. If 600whp is good, 900whp is better! If i am spending $1200.00 on the smaller turbo, I can just upgrade to the super duper humongous turbo that is the same price and make a couple hundred horsepower more!
