eTuning Section Added To Our Site

Since we have started eTuning it has become very popular with a lot of our FlashPro and KPro customers. We’ve taken the time to add a new eTuning section to our web site under the current Tuning section (which now is broken down into sections for both Dyno Tuning and eTuning).

We’re excited to have this new section added to our site, and we hope it answers many of the questions we have received so far. The eTuning section will also stay updated as we add more cars that are able to be eTuned. Here are a list of the new pages:

Follow Us On Facebook And Twitter For Giveaways

I know we posted recently about following us on social sites like Facebook and Twitter. I wanted to reiterate the importance of these sites as the climate on the Internet continues to change.

We are dedicated to our customers and supporting them. Jeff and Andrea read and respond to hundreds of emails every week, and we continually try to update our blog with the biggest news and updates in the industry.

Unfortunately, with the amount of people we staff at Evans Tuning it would be impossible to post every update in a blog post like this one. Fortunately, the Internet changes quite often and continually gets easier and easier to maintain. Facebook and Twitter have made this easy for us. We can post updates regularly (oftentimes, several per day) about the happenings here at Evans Tuning. We really recommend following us at one of these sources.

If you are not following us on either of these sites here are our links:

Sick Evo 8 Makes 725whp On Race Gas

If haven’t seen our previous post on this Evo 8 you need to check it out here. Since our last update on this car we have tuned numerous AWD setups, but we promised updated numbers on this Evo so needless to say we have some really impressive graphs.

We plan to do some track tuning with this Evo in the coming weeks and will make updates on what it runs. We will also try to get some pictures and videos of it running at the track.

This setup is exactly the same as the last time we tuned except for the addition of Q16 race gas. Here are the updated graphs:

Write A Review For Evans Tuning

During the last few weeks we have been slowly building our social presence on sites like Facebook and Twitter. Yesterday, we took a moment to recognize and thank all of our customers on Facebook for their patronage. To add to that, we really want to hear the stories and reviews that we know many customers have from tuning with us or having work done by us. Please take this opportunity to log on to Facebook, Like our Fan Page, and tell us about your experience in our “Reviews” section.

Why Get an eTune from Evans Tuning?

It has come to our attention that numerous other sites are offering eTuning services. Evans Tuning is certainly not the first provider of these services but we feel we have a significant advantage compared to other providers. Here is why you should eTune with Evans Tuning.

  1. We offer UNLIMITED ADJUSTMENTS to your eTune. Other providers limit the amount of revisions they will do.
  2. We provide ONE LEVEL of unmatched eTuning! No basic tunes here. We give it our all, all of the time.
  3. We have a VERY LARGE DATABASE of perfected dyno tunes. Most eTuners state that they have little to no dyno tuning experience. We tune all day every day.
  4. We provide UNMATCHED CUSTOMER SERVICE via email. Most revisions are provided within a few hours and normally no more than 1 business day.
  5. We have the option for customers to UPGRADE TO A DYNO TUNE for the price of a retune. We stand behind our work and know it’s worthy of our discounted rates.
  6. We have over 10 YEARS of tuning experience. Tuning is the most important step of any build and we take each tune very seriously.

We are all for the shift to internet based business, tuning, and customer service, but can you afford to trust your tune to just any internet company?

Insane Civic Si: 535whp @ 13psi Pump Gas! (video)

From time to time I get some very impressive cars through the shop. Many times I have no extra time in the day to document these cars, and always wish that I took the time to do so. I was lucky enough to be part of my customers super big build with the EFI tuning aspect. I headed into the shop last Friday (3/19/10) and thought I was tuning a stock Si with a Full Race Turbo Kit, but little did I know I was going to be greeted with a complete sleeper and insane build! The build list is long and impressive, but the overall installation quality and attention to detail was the most impressive. Anyone can buy good parts, but I often see poor installation work, and the car is not reliable as a result. This was certainly not the case with this car!

With the 2.2 liter displacement, ported head, larger cams and 9:1 compression I knew it was a potent combination to make some serious power. Off of the wastegate spring (~8-9 psi) the car made 450whp on 93 octane! I was floored to say the least. I bumped up the boost to 13 psi and the car made 535whp on 93 octane! I have never seen such an efficient set-up to date. We moved onto doing a 100 octane tune, and yielded 580whp at 18psi. The turbo was out of breath (backpressure induced).
