We have had A LOT of customers that have been switching from NepTune to Hondata s300 engine management system lately. The general consensus seems to be that people just want to be able to make changes to their set-ups, have on board datalogging for track use and being able to get the best bang for the buck and results from their particular set-up. Below is our special if have already been tuned on NepTune by us and want to get retuned on Hondata s300:

I receive alot of questions asking why I REQUIRE only virgin, unsocketed ecus to be used for the s300 system installation. The simple answer is that there is a 50/50 chance that your existing socketed ecu will be ruined if resocketed for the special s300 male socket pins. When the small traces on the ecu board are reheated you run a risk of “lifting” the trace, and breaking contact on the ecu board. Once this happens often times the ecu is not repairable. I prefer to not to take the risk with a customers ecu. Please only provide virgin, unsocketed ecus or you can purchase one of our new s300 specific socketed ecus for an additional $150.00.
